* 50, 100, 130 & 200 micron options available. Please specify disc size when ordering. Example: HD-2SA-130 = 2" NPT Super with 130-micron discs. Multiple pods can be manifolded for higher flow rates. Maximum flow rates should be derated for high solids loading, particularly for finer disc media.

Unique Features & How It Works

A high-velocity centrifugal action spirals heavier particles away from the disc cartridge, minimizing manual cleaning

Centrifugal Cleaning Action

As water passes through the Helix-Element it spins at high velocity, driving heavier particles (sediment, scale) away from the disc media and down to the base of the filter.

Large Disc Surface Area

Three-dimensional discs provide a large surface area with grooves molded into the surface to trap remaining contaminants as water passes from the outside to the inside of the discs.

Flush While In Operation

Accumulated particles are flushed either manually or automatically via the 3/4" flush port at the lowest point in the lid — without taking the filter offline.

Color-Coded Disc Options

Color-coded discs are available in a variety of micron sizes — 50, 100, 130 and 200 micron — ideal for hard particles like sediment and scale, or soft fibrous material like algae and cottonwood seed.

Durable Injection-Molded Housing

The corrosion-resistant polyamide body has one inlet and two outlets, enabling installation at 90 or 180 degrees, with pressure gauge ports molded into the housing.

Quick-Release Clamp

A Type 316 stainless steel quick-release clamp assembly requires no tools to remove the clamp and filter cover when maintenance is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes does the Helix Disc filter come in?
The Helix Disc filter is available in three sizes: 2", 2" Super and 3". The 2" and 2" Super handle up to 100 GPM per housing, while the 3" model handles up to 200 GPM. Multiple pods can be manifolded together for higher flow rates.
How should the filter be installed?
The filters can be installed in any orientation; however, it is preferable to install them in the inverted position (3/4" flush port at the bottom). This helps the filtration system work at its optimum, allowing accumulated particles to be flushed from the base of the filter.
What micron options are available?
Color-coded discs are available in four micron sizes: 200 micron (80 mesh), 130 micron (120 mesh), 100 micron (150 mesh), and 50 micron (250 mesh). Please specify the disc size when ordering — for example, HD-2SA-130 is a 2" NPT Super with 130-micron discs.
What are the pressure and temperature ratings?
All units are rated to 125 PSI and 140°F. The housing is made of injection-molded polyamide, discs are polypropylene, gaskets are EPDM, and the filter pod clamp is Type 316 stainless steel.
What inlet and outlet connections are available?
2" and 3" models are available with NPT and/or Victaulic inlet/outlet connections, in both in-line and 90-degree configurations. The body has two outlets, and the outlet not being used is terminated with the threaded cap supplied with the filter.
